Wading back in
I'm havin' trouble gettin' the bloggin' groove goin', know what I'm sayin' sayin'?
I do notice, with some bemusement, that the most popular google hit to this site of late is for "Doggy Style." That, and (as ever?!) "Rita Hayworth Nude"." Why the latter I cannot fathom (and more shall come, since I've just repeated the offending phrase).
By the way - Is there mirth in Myrrh?

You're currently the fourth ranked Google result for Rita Hayworth Nude.
Incidentally, I have tried repeatedly to respond to your comment on my blog and the connection keeps stalling. I've started looking for blogware alternatives as a result. This puts me in the difficult position of developing something worth spending money to put on the web.

Ha - well, Typepad is quite good, though I'm not sure it's going to offer you the bandwidth you're looking for.
I was hoping, too, that you'd weigh in on the crucial question of our age - namely, is there mirth in Myrrh?!

Myrrh yields nothing but bitterness :-( The Middle English is mirre. Mirth (ME mirthe) comes from the Anglo Saxon myrge. This leads me to believe that the only mirth to be found in myrrh comes from poetic license. I did know someone who favored myrrh toothpaste. He was certain it prevented gum disease. I tried it, out of friendship, but have settled for a less exotic dentifrice.
For the etymology, I cite no less an authority than the Reverend Walter W. Skeat. The placement of that search may also bring you more interesting, or interested, readers than the Hayworth seekers.
