Even better than the blogosphere is the chocosphere.
I'm well-disposed to a fine bar of dark chocolate (70-75% cacao) - for my money, Villars is virtually peerless.

Paul, it's funny, as I grow older I have less and less desire to eat sweets. But I can tell you where I think sweets should NOT be allowed: beer. Have you had these chocolate based beers? Or worse, that wretched Pyramid apricot beer. I get Mencken like thoughts about the decline of civilization just contemplating apricot beer.
I mean, are we men, or are we Hobbits?!!

Hey - give Skittlebrau its due.
Homer: Got any of that beer that has candy floating in it? You know, Skittlebrau?
Apu: Such a beer does not exist, sir. I think you must have dreamed it.
Homer: Oh. Well, then just give me a six-pack and a couple of bags of Skittles.

I, on the other hand, think that Young's Double Chocolate Stout is pretty good (cf http://www.beerpal.com/articles/TDS-youngsdcs.asp).
I can't say the same, however, about coffee beers, which are a failed attempt to combine two of the basic food groups.
